At Corner Table, Michael drove significant increases to EBITDA through cost cutting, labor management, and the introduction of new systems and technologies to reduce waste and improve productivity. He also brought in new leaders for Learning & Development and Management/Culinary Recruiting, elevating and expanding the recruiting process and training methods across the organization.Prior to Corner Table, Michael spent 15 years as an Officer at Hillstone Restaurant Group, a firm famous for its high-performance culture and gold-standard training programs. During his time at Hillstone, Michael was a key operations executive who also the Head of People, overseeing Human Resources, Recruiting, and Talent Development. Transformative work included elevating hiring standards, honing best-in-class training programs for Managers and Staff, and leading a team of HR Managers who recruited at more than 50 college campuses across the US, ultimately building one of the most highly respected management corps in the industry. Michael is also the Founder and CEO of Impel Advisors, a consulting firm that has offered advice in Hospitality Operations, People Strategy, and Financial Analysis to multiple companies, most prominently Ralph Lauren and MCR Hotels.Michael earned his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Duke University.
