Here is a sample of some of the projects I worked on at Sedgwick.PROJECT ONESCOPE: Working with a partner and literally hundreds of colleagues, we built and implemented a new state-of-the-art individualized correspondence system for 100 Sedgwick offices in 30 states across the country. ACTIONS: We collaborated with office managers to customize thousands of individual templates based on state and client requirements. We developed separate implementation plans and training presentations for each office. and then tracked the utilization of new system. All projects were completed on time and on budget. RESULTS: This project saved over 6,000 man-hours per year, delivering a 600% ROI. PROJECT TWOSCOPE: I worked with different departments to create eight unique ticketing systems which enabled quick and efficient issue resolution. Each department had different needs and different challenges.ACTIONS: I worked with department heads to analyze workflow and assess individual department needs. I built the prototypes and we iterated collaboratively until everyone was satisfied. RESULTS: For some departments the new ticketing system sped up turnaround of issues by 100% with increased reliability. Others just needed a place to keep track of issues with a way to provide a path to resolution.PROJECT THREESCOPE: Working with a small group of colleagues, we constructed an extensive Knowledge Management database, which featured articles by individual state regarding Workers’ Comp laws and practices for new-hire training.ACTIONS: We partnered with desk-level colleagues and operations managers to determine scope of content. and then assembled a master list of data, organized into searchable categories, and created and published the articles.RESULTS: Sped up onboarding for new hires with quick and easy access to individual state’s Workers’ Comp regulations. | Created a centralized authoritative body of knowledge.

PROJECT ONESCOPE Architected FNP's first-ever automated policy administration system.ACTIONS: With little to no supervision, and without executive support, implemented workers’ comp business line within system. Overcame obstacles generated by preexisting sub-standard vendor. Hired and supervised additional vendor to create front-end web portal. RESULTS: Expedited workers’ comp policy generation by 3x. | Transferred agent workload to a computer-generated platform and increased productivity.PROJECT TWOSCOPE: Created and designed a database to implement new Pennsylvania Workers’ Comp program, under a tight deadline with a short runway. ACTION: Designed functionality to generate policy rating and print capability for policies, flowing through the system of record. Installed agent-billing capability to coordinate with accounts receivable. Coordinated with Pennsylvania State Bureau to determine requirements for mandatory electronic reporting platform.RESULTS: Increased company premium 15%. | Expanded policy generation 300%.PROJECT THREESCOPE: Create a process to expedite and standardize the underwriting and rating of casualty insurance policies.ACTION: Collaborated iteratively with underwriters to gain expertise in insurance policy rating formulation. Instituted efficient method using Excel to generate quotes and print umbrella policies at a click. RESULTS: Provided transparency and accountability for policy issuance. | Quotes and policy turnaround time decreased 90% and accuracy increased 25%.
