Recent projects include:* Designing and facilitating Math Design Collaborative (MDC) and Networked Improvement Community (NIC) training, as well as providing site-based coaching, to build local capacity to scale and sustain learning for the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB)* Provided technical assistance for the STEM Funders Network's STEM Ecosystem Initiative with the Teaching Institute for Excellence in STEM (TIES)* Developed innovative digital professional development for elementary math teachers for Dreambox Learning

Launched this new department to accelerate the organization's learning - for improvement as well as innovation. In the first six months, trained the entire organization on Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles and implemented the first PDSA “wave,” resulting in 30+ presentations of prototypes, lessons learned, and recommended next steps.

Oversaw the design, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of professional learning for a network of more than 100 innovative schools. In addition, led the development, implementation, and monitoring of the NC New Schools strategic and operational plans for advancing STEM education across our network and for developing a leading cadre of STEM schools within the NC STEM Learning Network.

Articulated the organizational vision for STEM education. Cultivated institutional partnerships to support program goals. Designed and executed a coherent program of services for a network of STEM schools, beginning with the turnaround of ten chronically low performing high schools.

Designed math program to address incoming proficiency rates of 8-9%. Provided instructional support and coaching to the math department. Designed and facilitated school-wide professional development. Led a school-wide pivot from traditional to standards-based grading. Increased proficiency rates on the state assessment from 11% to 72%.

Served on the Core-Plus Mathematics development team; taught Methods of Teaching Secondary Mathematics; supervised teaching interns; designed and facilitated professional development for teachers in local school districts; worked on the Knowledge of Algebra for Teaching research project.

Evaluated effectiveness of project program, which included math curriculum adoption and supporting professional development for middle and high schools in partner districts in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Presented findings at AERA and NCTM Research Pre-Session. Advised project on program improvements.
