Currently assigned to the New St. Paul’s Hospital project (PCL Construction’s largest design-build project in company history) in Vancouver, BC – Ryan is responsible for all aspects of construction project management including scope tendering, planning & scheduling, cost & contract management, and overall project execution of the below grade works.

Ryan transitioned to a full-time, experienced role directly after completing his degree, and had successfully completed 3 PCL student terms prior. During his short-tenure, he has continued to contribute to the success of project operations teams within PCL districts across Canada & the U.S, developed/implemented company wide technology initiatives, published three corporate QUEST Bulletins, completed The Post Project and was selected as the recipient of the 2021 PCL Innovation Award.

Assigned Project: The Post (Vancouver Post Office Redevelopment)Company: PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc. (BC Region)A few of Ryan’s responsibilities on The Post project includes providing project & field management support in the office & on-site, acting as a liaison for engineering consultants and subcontractors, escorting client executives around the project for weekly progress tours, creating/issuing subcontractor work plans, creating and sequencing demolition schedules, tracking field production, assisting with updating forecast's, cost allocation control, verifying as built drawings, LEED environmental reporting, take-offs as required, noise permit & neighborhood correspondence, various layout, and chairing junior PCL staff networking events. Assigned Project: CRU 'B' Base BuildingCompany: PCL Construction Management Inc. (Saskatoon District)Ryan's role on the CRU 'B' project consisted of Quantity takeoffs, RFI, chairing weekly progress meetings, recording & distributing owner, internal, and foremen meeting minutes, tracking project submittal requirements, project document control, electronic plan room maintenance, and as-built drawings. Compilation of monthly status reports, permit and utility locate renewals and site progress photographs. Formwork inventory and tracking for invoicing. Concrete logging and break report tracking, with third party concrete testing supervision. Quantity tracking and verifying drawing accuracy. Completing full-time, short duration, and visitor safety orientations, as well as PSI audits. Initially began as a general laborer for the first year, and worked up to roles including: operations & project coordinator, lead installer, site manager, office administrator, dispatch and scheduler, estimator, logistics manager, accounts receivable, purchasing, sales,and general customer service representative.
