In 1991, he become Joint Venture Partner with McDonald's in Uruguay; successfully introducing the Fast Food Concept and the McDonald's Brand. In less than 10 years, McDonald's Uruguay became the highest density market (restaurant/inhabitants) in South America with 32 restaurants and one of the largest private employers in the country. In addition, he held regional responsibilities as chairman of the Technology Board and Member of the Advisory Board for Latin America.

In 1985, he joined McDonald's Corporation as Treasurer for Latin America. During his tenure he innovated in the Treasure/Financial field using creative financial engineering as a strategic tool to drive growth. Promoted to Director of Finance and Licensing for Latin America, he added to his responsibilities the opening and development of new markets.

He started his professional career at Baxter International, Inc. in the manufacturing area and later moved into the Strategic Planning group responsible for M&A and new products introduction in Latin America and Asia.
