-connect community members to City of Independence matters-be a resource of services offered in our immediate Independence community, as well as throughout the county and state-be an extension of the city to be able to create key partnerships with other communities and organizations within and outside of Independence

-collaboratively worked with a dynamic group to guide the organization and create a stronger bicycle community in Corvallis -created the "Quick Release" monthly newsletter and designed letterhead, including logo "We want as many people as possible to have access to one of the safest, healthiest, affordable, and environmentally sustainable forms of transportation. We help promote access by helping bikers not just keep their bikes running, but also teaching people how to care for their bikes and putting tools in their hands to do it."

-supported AmeriCorps NCCC teams that were deployed throughout our 10-state service region in the Midwest-our projects focused on the following areas: affordable housing, natural disasters, education, and environment-worked closely with field team leaders and their teams deployed through our region to make sure all needs were met-processed weekly progress reports, leave requests, incident reports, and various other governmental forms

-helped provide emergency food assistance to individuals and families in the greater Sacramento area-volunteer coordinating of 10-40 daily, and volunteer recruiting in the community (e.g. college fairs)-worked alongside volunteers to ensure all operational duties were being properly covered-operated forklift to load/unload delivery trucks with food, and helped organize warehouse/freezers-kept inventory of perishable and nonperishable food items-daily record keeping of services provides
