Meet me, the word aficionado with a mischievous twist. I've got 171,476 words (currently in use) from the Oxford English Dictionary to describe myself, but I'll settle for a few less. I'm insatiably curious about all things epistemic. Why settle for "meh" when you can dive headfirst into the abyss of knowledge?Google, QuillBot, and ChatGPT are my trusty sidekicks in unravelling new words, concepts, and frameworks. I admire those adventurous souls who crack open unread books. In my career, I decode why people should notice us, what ignites their interest, and how they become our buddies (if friends were customers).In the corporate jungle for nearly a decade, I've realised I belong among fellow life enthusiasts, who see our jobs as means to an end and savour engaging in lively debates.But in 2021, another marketing-mid-life crisis struck which made me stop and think. Despite experiencing various marketing realms, I was missing a vital piece—the world of marketing technology. So, I leaped into Salesforce, Marketo, and MarTech—a world as foreign as singing underwater. I'm not there yet, but in my journey so far I've discovered the need for marketing to shift from being operations-cautious to operations-forward. Digital operations unveiled the wonders of data and systems, but strategy remains the core. Stay tuned for updates on my experiments in this ever-evolving marketing universe.
