Primarily responsible for leading the development and implementation of National purchasing strategies for labor and materials in key categories including, but not limited to designing and implementing supply solutions that deliver labor and materials at the lowest total cost and consistent with approved quality and delivery standards. Supply solutions must be delivered with cost transparency, continuous improvement and alignment across suppliers, trade partners and PulteGroup locations.•Lead National contract alignment and coordination with all Areas, Zones and Divisions to assure competitive leverage. •Monitor and communicate performance issues, price and product changes and strategy-impacting variables to the organization. •Design and develop supply solution strategies to reduce cycle time, eliminate waste, standardize practices and reduce costs through value engineering and lean practices and principles. •Develop and implement comprehensive standards for “should costing”, analytical tool application and systems. •Develop specification and option solutions in assigned categories for all new product plan offerings.•Lead efficiency/cost saving efforts for new product plan offerings.•Lead market analysis and negotiations for VEWs and SCWs.•Coach, develop and communicate with all levels of field personnel. •Lead category teams on national projects. Leverage category knowledge to ensure appropriate representation of purchasing-specific priorities in cross-functional initiatives.•Lead a team of 6 Agents focused on detailed plan management of assigned categories.•Delegate project work according to employee’s abilities and skills.•Assists in the identification of internal and external training opportunities.•Provides continuous coaching to project team members with regard to functional standards.

Responsible for entering into negotiations with suppliers by reviewing terms and conditions, contract formulation, and any supplier management conditions affecting the division. • Provide accurate and timely local supplier contracting based on defined category selection criteria (i.e., cost, quality, productivity, service) • Manage supplier performance monitoring within the division (i.e., cost, quality, productivity, service) ◦ National: manage compliance to agreements, scopes, etc. ◦ Local: manage and execute contract agreements consistent with sourcing guidelines • Collaborate with Local Design, Scheduling, Field Operations and Process Improvement • Manage supplier relationships and assist in resolving issues and conflicts related to daily Trade Partner activities • Develop scopes and standard operating procedures that assure Trade Partner compliance with Pulte construction standards, local, state and national building codes, and safety regulations • Follow Pulte business processes for supplier management • Participate as member on the National COC team and drive the COC strategy across the Area in conjunction with the Area Director (if assigned) • Participate as subject matter expert on a COC team and assist COC Director with category strategy across company (if assigned)
