About Rajendra M Sonar, Ph.D.

Having 32+ years of mixed experience: software development, entrepreneurship, training, teaching, research and consulting.Passionately working on intelligent systems (hybrid artificial intelligence: expert system, artificial neural networks, case-based reasoning and genetic algorithms and applying them to solve business problems) since two decades which includes: earning a Ph.D. in Computer Science (with specialization in AI) from Dept. of CS, Pune University in 2000, development of RAD platform in C# ASP.NET integrating various AI technologies with operational systems, co-founding a company and publishing several research papers in international conferences and journals.Co-founded iKen Solutions (now iKen Personics) in 2005 at SINE, IIT Bombay was funded by India Innovation Fund. iKen was too early startup on AI when Market was not ready. Exited from iKen with IPR and co-founded a new start-up WKA Technologies Pvt Ltd. at SINE, IIT Bombay. We are building GenAI guided Hyper App Platform which can create enterprise level app in just flat 10 minutes once SRS are ready. Entire app uses open source with full freedom at any level of their choice without any limitations and dependencies and build their own software quickly. Bringing various categories of open source together, would help to create all-inclusive software, tool and apps having all functionalities in one place, at the same time taking care of most of the issues and challenges of LC/NC platforms. It would facilitate firms in their digital transformation journey.With CS/IT background and being part of a business school inside IIT Bombay campus I know how important it is to put various technology pieces in business/management perspective/context and connect/integrate them to leverage for the business purposes efficiently and effectively; and know well the business applications of technologies from strategic to operational level across various management functions, domains and verticals, and what are the expectations and needs of a developer at junior level v/s seniors at CxO level.
