My role extends beyond traditional HR responsibilities as I also serve as an External Member of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) for Serein’s clients, specializing in preventing workplace harassment through the PoSH vertical.At Serein, I have developed processes from the ground up by understanding the specific needs of the team, considering factors like size, culture, and the stage of the business. This includes creating policies and process documents for onboarding, offboarding, PIP, leave management, HRIS implementation, performance appraisals, and feedback communication. These processes require me to regularly communicate with business and department heads to ensure they are executed according to timelines.I regularly assess potential challenges that might arise during process implementation, such as delays in approvals or communication breakdowns. By identifying these issues early, I’m able to address them before they impact the processes. In my role in Employee Relations, I focus on understanding the business's expectations from employees, identifying any gaps in their delivery, and conveying feedback in a way that ensures accountability in following the action plan to meet those expectations.Additionally, as an External member of PoSH committees to our clients, I act as a consultant with their management teams to help them maintain a culture of safety and respect in their workplaces.
