As the Director of Development at Charlottesville Symphony Society (CSS), I lead the strategic planning and execution of fundraising and audience engagement initiatives for a vibrant and diverse musical organization. With over 20 years of experience as a professional opera singer and a Master of Music from Yale University, I have a strong commitment to advancing the arts and culture of my community through new experiences that dissolve preconceptions. I excel at cultivating and maintaining personal relationships with donors, patrons, board members, staff, and artists, and creating impactful and memorable experiences that inspire and delight. I have successfully increased the annual fund, secured major gifts, and launched new programs to showcase the talent and diversity of my organization. I also empower and support the CSS team and the board of trustees, fostering a collaborative and motivated culture of trust.
