I took on the role of Fruit and Vegetable Customer Assistant with Tesco. This role required me to stack shelves while using the knowledge of stock rotation and replenishment to ensure this was done successfully. In training for this role I also received Alcohol and Tobacco training relevant for the year. I also gained the knowledge of operating a till and money handling skills. I gained skills in customer service and furthered my confidence in this role as I was conversing with customers every day and offering advice on what products are best for them. I also learned how to successfully support my employees with their workload as well as how to better manage my own.

This role was focused on providing to support to looked after young people in South Ayrshire. It allowed me to experience a professional working environment. I worked with a close knit team of individuals with the aim of changing the outcomes for all looked after you people in South Ayrshire. I led presentations about Corporate Parenting to over 60 council members as well as participating in community fundraising events. I took on an admin role in this job by organizing materials for upcoming presentations and ensuring we had everything we needed for these to be successful. Through this job I was given the opportunity to form important relationships with young people and learn first hand about their experiences in care in order to better understand what help they need. I also have experience with overseeing and creating the social media pages for the Champions for Change project as well as designing the logo which is used on merchandise created. This role gave me the insight into looked after young people's lives and helped me form positive, important relationships with both professionals and clients.
