Everybody wants to go to work and come home feeling safe, happy and fulfilled. I enjoy the challenge of balancing workplace wellbeing, safety and sustainability to make this happen for people and organisations. I support businesses to improve their processes, activities and policies in WHS, facility operations and wellbeing through collaboration and research. Currently I am an Event Safety Advisor at the Sydney Opera House, where I have ensured the safe operations for this heritage building, as well as its large-scale outdoor events, including Sydney’s New Year’s Eve celebrations and Vivid. My strengths include a deep knowledge of WHS practices and policies, exceptional stakeholder engagement and a proven track record of meeting compliance and regulatory audits.

  In this role, I manage the daily safety operations at the Sydney Opera House and large-scale public events (2500+ patrons). This includes outdoor events such as the New Year's Eve celebrations, Vivid, and numerous live concerts, as well as all shows at the Sydney Opera House venues (Australian Ballet, Opera Australia, Sydney Theatre Co, Bangarra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, etc.) I also coordinate the safety planning, implementation, auditing, policies and compliance to prevent OHS incidents and keep staff and audiences safe. • Conducting safety compliance inspections and identifying and resolving discrepancies to align processes and procedures with current and updated safety standards. • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to communicate changes, gather information and manage critical incidents, including coordinating medical logistics. • Providing safe and practical event solutions to the fast-paced live production industry, allowing other skilled staff to perform to the best of their ability. • Collating and reporting incident data and making recommendations to place controls and mitigate risks reducing OHS incidents. • Developing and communicating event specific safety, crisis management and business continuity plans.
