Qualified as a chartered accountant (ACA) at Deloittes London, with a diverse client industry base. BA (Hons) in Zoology from Oxford University. Led or worked with senior leadership teams on over 100 strategic projects at both group, division, business and product group level, which variously created revenue pipelines of over $1 billion, improved profitability by more than $100m, or otherwise improved shareholder value. Full P&L, operating and strategic responsibility for Johnson Matthey’s Battery Systems business with over $100m of revenues and more than 500 employees, manufacturing in Poland and the UK. Demonstrated ability to work in a large, complex, corporate environment but with a preference and aptitude for nimble, growth- and results-oriented teams. Motivated, influenced and empowered multicultural teams including through change. Mentored several colleagues at their request. Led or worked with senior leadership teams on many acquisition, joint venture and disposal projects worldwide, typically with an enterprise value of $5-500m, during a transformational period for Johnson Matthey. Responsibility across the full lifecycle including negotiation, valuation, and relationship management. Diverse project application experience including but not limited to: air and water purification; oil, gas, bio-feedstocks and mid-stream; catalysts, specialty chemicals, petrochemical and gas process technologies; active pharmaceutical ingredients; medical devices; precious metals refining, trading and products; ceramics; electronic materials; and automotive.
