Through my entire career, I have been working with electronics ranging from Streamer recording – / Gun controller systems to modern OBN systems with automated handling and storage equipment. I have spent a lot of time on special projects, equipment rigging, seismic ships design / conversion and finally development of robotized node handling systems. This type of work has given me a strong cross-discipline knowledge and experience in handling a diversity of people under demanding conditions.As Instrument Manager in Magseis, I build up the Instrument department and was responsible for developing / designing / introducing ABB robot technology onboard seismic vessels to take care of all node handling on board. Magseis was the first company in the offshore industry to introduce and use full scale Industrial robots to improve efficiency, quality and safety on board.My last assignment in Magseis was head of “Modular system department”. We developed, manufactured and installed containerized handling - and storage system for MASS nodes. The containers were installed on vessels of opportunity around the world. Some were simply used onshore inside a base of an oil company as well. My last task was to manufacture and install complete Node handling systems onboard BGP vessels on behalf of Magseis.
