My career has dealt with many devices, and machines that are electronic, mechanical. and electrical. I have been doing this type of work for 24 years. My original formal training was in electronics. I have worked with a milling machine and lathe both as a hobby and on the job for the past 7 years. I'm currently enrolled at Joliet Junior College in the Manufacturing Technology Program. See education section for current details. I just received a scholarship from SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers) on 01/12/11Specialties: In general I do electronic and mechanical. In the early part of my career I would work on or repair electronics as a hobby. Later I found the demand for fabricating and machining was high. I became experienced in this area, but can still do electronics when needed. My career has shifted to being a CNC Machinist. I do have some formal training and experience in this area.

Production TechOberthur Card Systems May 1996 - Jun 2003I worked at the Naperville, Illinois branch which closed a few years after I left. When I left my supervisor was Larry Edwards. I left on good terms and went to Card Dynamix for a shorter commute and a little more money. The work was the same as Card Dynamix with slight differences. Emergency fabrication was done by hand using common tools. This branch did not have a lathe or mill. The Virginia facility did have a machine shop.I did most of the electronic board repair. I also did a lot of training for new techs on the high speed embossers. The Datacard 15k was my specialty. I also worked on the Datacard 800 and 9K thermal print, labelers, attachers, Phillipsburg inserters, Oce' printers, magnetic encoders and maintained the air compressor. -

Performed vibration testing, flow testing, internal pressure testing and self destruct tests involving electrical current overflow and internal pressure. I was the lead tech in the coolant valve test lab. Peformed some calibration tests.
