My responsibilities were dictated by all aspects of the Town's capital infrastructure projects, focusing on completing tenders and contract documents for all capital related projects. Other area's of my current position that I often utilize is surveying, estimating, municipal design and project management. I have been involved with two nationally historic memorial projects. The first is the Queenston Heights parkland to commemorate the battle of 1812; a tribute to the Six Nations Native Allies and the second, the Voices of Freedom park, a commemoration to black history. Both projects featured detailed landscape features and sculptures to pay tribute to the natives that sacrificed their lives during the war of 1812 and to honour early black settlers in the Niagara Region. As the lead Project Manager, my key responsibilities were scheduling, processing payments, stakeholder management and construction coordination.I have acquired skills in all phases of construction including scheduling, estimating, contract review and subcontractor monitoring. I am best known for my ability to maintain excellent relations with consultants, inspectors, contractors and other governing agencies. With a strong understanding of the expectations required at a municipal level, I am able to facilitate the construction process while also adhering to requests from the general public and Council.

Under the managment of the engineering department, I allocated my time between on-site inspections and office related duties . In the field, I was responsible for the installation and maintenance of electronic flow monitors within the city’s sanitary and storm sewers. Along with the installation, I collectively sorted through the downloaded data and organize the information that is then reviewed by the consultant.Also, acting as a direct contact to the consultant regarding any issues or concerns with the flow monitoring program. Additionally, I contributed my time to assisting with the basement flood relief program, which the infrastructure staff is responsible for the pre/post inspection using a sewer lateral camera and grant approval process. Other various field work may include verifying field measurements and inspections of the city’s infrastructure such as roads, sanitary sewers, storm sewers and water mains. In the office, I complete work involving the city’s current municipal assets regarding our yearly capital projects. Duties include updating GIS maps, updating internal databases and accurately allocating the costs for various road reconstruction and infrastructure capital projects.
