As an ecologist with 31 years of professional experience studying California’s ecology, I specialize in the ecology and natural history of fish, birds, aquatic invertebrates, and amphibians. I use my expertise in photography to emphasize the biology of wildlife and promote conservation. My experience spans large and small freshwater, estuarine and marine systems, as well as all aspects of terrestrial and aquatic ecology, water quality studies, habitat assessments, and population surveys. I specialize in impact assessments and monitoring studies involving endangered anadromous species (i.e., steelhead, coho, and chinook salmon), and have conducted numerous fish rescues in large and small bodies of water.
