I have always had a passion for outdoor learning/education, after an expedition in 2007 to the wilds of the Yukon in Canada I made a decision to pursue a career in the outdoors. After finishing 6th Form I went to study a Degree in Outdoor Leadership at the University of Cumbria, in the summers I came home and worked seasonally at the Kingsway. After University I went traveling fro a year with my wife, we had an amazing time and on return I was offered the opportunity to be a part in developing Kingsway into its full potential. After a busy few years we reached a point where the Centre had become so much more, offering, Teacher Training in Outdoor Ed, ongoing programmes with special schools, day activities through the year both at the Centre and in school and developing the Centre into a fantastic group accommodation venue. In May this year I was given the role of Centre Manager, this allowed me to continue to develop the centre.
