I am solely responsible for looking after the entire accounts receivable process from start to finish for each of the Anitox companies based around the world, which includes the below countries:o United Kingdomo United Stateso Malaysiao Indonesiao Mexicoo Brazilo China• Opening new accounts.• Credit checking new customers and monitoring existing credit limits.• Raising invoices and credit notes in-line with each country’s invoicing practises.• Cash allocation – ACH,s ,Wires, Bacs, Cheques• Bank Reconciliation’s.• Commission Accruals.• Monitoring Exchange Rates.• Controlling the ledgers by email, phone and letters.• Dealing with L/C’s and Export Documentary Collections.• Responsible for releasing orders and placing accounts on hold.• Resolving any queries in a timely manner.• Liaising with the many different departments.• Be able to plan work accordingly due to the many different time zones and varied working practises.• Completing government forms each month to comply with EU export regulations.• Updating and issuing weekly and monthly reports.• Building relationships with customers.• Month end tasks.

Duties include:• Opening new accounts and negotiating payment terms.• Crediting checking new customers, monitoring existing credit limits and applying for increases in cover.• Responsible for looking after half the PCS ledger, customers L –Z.• Monitoring high risk customers.• Cash Allocation• Controlling the ledger by phone, email and letters.• Building relationships with customer.• Log and monitor and resolve all queries and if needed escalate up to the sales manager after the agreed SLA.• Liaising with the Sales & Technical department.• Responsible for releasing sales orders once the relevant checks have been made• Placing accounts on stop and liaising with the customer until the situation has been resolved.• Account reconciliations • Negotiating payment plans• Good customer service practises.• Excellent communication skills

Duties: • Promoted to team leader after 12 months.• Sorting of the monthly ledger which comprises of 3000 accounts and distributing the broken down copies to each credit controller in the department.• Analysing each monthly ledger and working out the percentage of debt in each month in order to compare to last month.• Devising a spreadsheet which works out what payment terms each company actually pays to on average.• Adapting the current account statement to show how many days overdue each invoice is.• Responsible for sorting out a social care account with invoices over 3 years old and reducing oldest invoice outstanding to under 1 year old.• Reconciling accounts.• Supervising a team of 8 people.• Controlling a designated credit control ledger by way of phone, letters and networking.• Monitor and resolve all accounts before being transferred to the legal Team.• Streamlining an inter company account to resolve ongoing issues and to speed up future payments.• Resolving very old account queries and collecting the outstanding debt before the invoice becomes statue barred.• Raising of journals and credit notes.• Liaise with other departments that affect the service provided• Tailoring of account management to suite the individual client.• Supporting and developing the growth of individuals.• Monitoring of the credit controllers individual ledgers and highlighting areas of improvement and implementing action plans.
