Responsible for operations, business development, market strategy and growth in the Texas transportation industry.

Principal duties involve market strategy, client relations, pursuit and production of transportation projects for clients such as TxDOT and several Regional Mobility Authorities. Responsible for coordinating resource needs utilizing production staff in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Tyler, TX and Norman, OK. Also manage projects including a one mile reconstruction of I 35 in Austin and a 10 mile design of Express Lanes for I 35 also in Austin. Currently Design Manager representing TxDOT for the oversight of a $550M Design\Build project for the extension of SH 249 in the Houston and Bryan Districts.- Staff Administration: Identifies work unit staffing needs based on future workload and manpower projections. Initiates actions to recruit, hire, and terminate staff. - Project Production and Management: Develops and maintains project work plans and production workload projections; monitors manpower requirements; takes appropriate actions to ensure project deadlines are met according to schedule and priority considerations. Works with project managers to ensure projects are properly scoped, budgeted, scheduled and managed. Oversees financial performance of projects being produced and/or managed within the work unit. - Marketing and Client Maintenance: Participates in the development of the annual and strategic plans and carries out those components that relate to the work unit. Actively pursues new project opportunities for the work unit and the firm by maintaining contacts with current and prospective clients; participates in the evaluation of new project opportunities and approves go/no-go action. With other technical managers as appropriate, identifies project proposal preparation and interview teams. - Contracts and Financial: Participates in preparing for and conducting contract negotiations with clients. Participates in the review and approval of contracts and contract addenda with clients and subconsultants. Reviews and recommends project budgets.

• Founding Principal of new firm and responsible for all project management including scope, fee, client negotiations, contracts, budget, schedule and quality review of all deliverables. • As Project Manager, won contract as a prime with Travis County and contracts as a sub-consultant working for Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority and SH 130 Concessionaire Company.• Responsible for overall company legal, finance, human resources, administrative and business development initiation and on-going operations.• Prepared proposals and made pre-qualified list of transportation design firms in Travis, Williamson and Hays Counties.
