I am a Senior Associate and forensic investigator in the Built Environment team at Hawkins & Associates in London. I specialise in Civil & Structural Engineering and Architectural Glazing. I am a chartered member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) and hold a Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Expert Witness Certificate.I previously gained nearly 15 years experience in innovative design of structures and glazing systems at leading consultancies Eckersley O'Callaghan, Arup and Engenuiti. Most recently, I was an Associate in the Structural Glass Team at Eckersley O'Callaghan leading the design of glazing system for several Apple flagship stores and the link bridges at New Street Square for Deloitte. I also have contrasting site experience, undertaking inspections and investigations of glazing systems at EOC, working on secondment to the contractor at Canary Wharf Crossrail Station and as resident engineer at a school in the Indian Himalayas.I completed his PhD in 2007, in collaboration with Arup, investigating the application of structural optimisation to building design.
