A Hero Foundation which runs the nationally acclaimed Hire A Hero program. Prior to Hire A Hero Rob was the Customer Service Director for another nationally acclaimed program Helmet to Hardhats, which was a program geared to help veterans find careers within the construction industry. During his tenure at Helmets to Hardhats Rob was responsible for scaling development activities and operation processes, as well as guiding the company’s technology direction to support veterans leaving today’s military. Because of Rob’s understanding of Helmets to Hardhats usage patterns he was able to create additional processes and procedures, methodically refining new opportunities for today’s veterans. These technology enhancements combined with Rob’s leadership ability helped Helmets to Hardhats quadruple their core metrics every years during his tenure, ultimately helping over 15,000 veterans find careers in the construction trades.In December 2006 Rob was approached by his former Executive Manager, Dan Caulfield, from Helmets to Hardhats to help build and create a new program which today has become Hire A Hero. Today Rob continues developing new solutions and protocols to help transitioning veterans, and their families, find new ways to network and connect with those who can ultimately help our returning service members find a new career. Because of Rob’s vision Hire A Hero was recognized by Time magazine (September 2008) as one of the top 21 ways to fix America. Hire A Hero was also recognized by Info World Magazine as being one of the top 100 website in the world for their creative and effective merging of business savvy and technical solutions to veteran unemployment.Rob has a BS degree in social work from Illinois State University and sits on an advisory board for the University of California San Francisco understanding Military Transistion.Rob also has business training in Gazell’s Strategic Management and GE Quality Tools.Specialties: Strategic planning, Military Transition
