My focus, which has always been technical, is complemented by several years' experience of project management and team leadership. I'm a self-motivated hard worker and, as someone who cares, tend to get involved in everything that's going on. I love nothing more than the satisfaction of getting code to work the right way.I have direct experience with CAD (especially NX) and PDM development, with cloud/databases, with full-stack development (CadStack), and with scientific data analysis. I'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty, tackling something new or taking on chunky server code. I understand the importance of designing for usability and performance from the outset. I'm happy to ask the awkward question when necessary.In terms of technology my roles have required C/C++ and F#, some Python and where necessary a touch of front-end work (such as Typescript, JavaScript, PhP, CSS). I'm comfortable with scripting, with databases and with cloud computing. I'm most excited by CAD, by 3D, by scalable cloud-based solutions, by the power of assemblies/constraints, and by the deep learning awakening.Past and present duties have included all aspects of the Agile, and formerly watefall, development lifecycle. I have been the lead for assemblies, selection, positioning, import/export, component joints/mates; and responsible for database design and access, some tools and social design.
