have progressively moved up through the company and taken on more roles & responsibilities over the past 2 years. I have achieved this through consistently working to a high standard, taking initiatives, learning quickly and working well with each team I have been placed in. My passion for teaching, developing and helping others has led to me recently becoming involved with the injury management processes in the company; advising staff on correct manual handing techniques and writing up warm up programs to be used to minimise strain and fatigue. This has been one of my favourite moments at Wallis Drilling, as I am able to bring the knowledge of my degree into my work and teach and develop others. Through out my time at Wallis Drilling, I spent 12 months in Kirikawa, Gibson Desert a very remote area, with only a team of 4, a few vehicles, a caravan and a generator. The work is physically exhausting however it has been an invaluable life experience which I am grateful for. Now, I am currently contracted by Rio Tinto, drilling on a SHRAM rig, drilling for Iron Ore. During my time at Wallis Drilling, I attained many licences and certificates including HR Licence, Remove First Aid Certificate, Forklift Licence, 4WD Licence and Working at Heights Certificate.

Working for SWP Commercial Ltd has taught me valuable skills, particularly around staff, time & project management. Throughout my time at SWP I consistently showed initiative and took on additional responsibilities without needing to be asked. It was very important to me to build strong relationships with my managers, colleagues, staff and other tradesman and I was able to achieve this quickly. Through mutual respect and good communication, we were able to complete projects smother, faster and more cost-effectively.
