In 2004, Rob was offered a job by POOLCORP to be the first person hired from outside of the company to focus on selling building materials. His responsibilities included growing this business segment for both SCP and SPP sales center locations in California, Oregon and Washington. The early days of the program included lots of product training and ride-along sales calls. During this time Rob received the Frank St. Romain Entrepreneur of the Year award. For over ten years Rob has led the hands-on training team which is responsible for over 400 hours of education on NPT and building materials products for POOLCORP attendees. In 2007, Rob was selected to become the Product Manager for the POOLCORP pool finish program. Since the acquisition of NPT in 2008 Rob has expanded the NPT pool finish program from two pool finish brands to seven and from 32 pool finish colors to 172 colors. He added colored quartz, colored plaster, polished marble and glass bead pool finishes to the program. Rob is also responsible for the pool finish sample and display board program. In 2012, Rob began managing the NPT team of Product Application Trainers and today there are four NPT Product trainers on Rob’s team. In 2017 Rob received the Employee of the Year award from POOLCORP. In 2021 Rob took over management of the NPT Product Management Team as well as overseeing the entire POOLCORP building materials program. On top of all that Rob has been the primary pool photographer for POOLCORP for the past 11 years. He has shot around 740 pools in that time and supplied tens of thousands of images to POOLCORP. This all began with a quest to have better images to promote the NPT brand. These days Rob is focused on problem solving/brand support, product development, training and pool inspections.
