I spent over a decade in industry, with the first few years in customer service and then the rest in database/direct marketing.I left a great job with a great company (let's hear it for Crate & Barrel!!!) to follow my passions into academia. I now teach marketing at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. As a faculty member, I am adviser to our campus's Pi Sigma Epsilon (the Beta Gamma chapter). As a co-ed national business fraternity, we help students develop skills related to sales, marketing, and management. It's a great way for students to improve presentation and persuasion skills for the business world.I am also an iMentor at the Whitewater Innovation Center helping to develop new businesses with faculty from the university and students from the UWW Launch Pad program.My goal is to keep up with current ideas in business while I teach students and prepare them for careers in marketing and related fields. Part of how I do this is by working on research projects in topics that relate to consumer behavior and marketing education issues.Specialties: My research interests are emerging technologies, social interaction, and their impacts on consumer behavior. I also do research in technology and how communication tools improve learning environments.
