National Project Manager
CurrentAct as liaison between customer, account manager, and national operations teams to enable clear communication via email, phone, and conference calls. Coordinate logistics (labor, equipment, transportation) to maximize productivity in order to keep the quality of work high and cost low all while meeting our client’s deadlines. Work with venues and hotels across the country to make sure schedules are aligned and all local laws/protocols are being followed, including working with local unions to ensure the client’s needs are met while operating within the local jurisdiction. Develop schedules with detailed labor plans, equipment needs, and truck requirements, including plans for configurations as well as returning equipment to factory condition. Plan for the configuration, testing, and preparation of IT hardware and Audio-Visual equipment according to client’s specifications. Coordinate travel and hotel arrangements for team members across the country. Track and report all expenditures such as team travel arrangements, equipment expenses, and outsourced services provided. Assess and manage risks to keep project team producing while minimizing delays. Provide reports detailing project execution (pre-planning, onsite, post-event) to the Executive Team, including project successes, problems, solutions, and future recommendations. ★ Led the planning, install, support, and dismantle of the 2012 and 2016 Democratic National Convention ★ Provide and support technology for corporate events throughout the country ranging from $100K to $2 million. ★ Manage crews of up to 60 technicians, supervisors, and engineers in order to complete the setup, on-site support, and dismantle of client events. These setups range from User conferences to General Session/Breakout rooms, to IT management and Tradeshows. ★ Successfully negotiated with Philadelphia labor union to reduce labor costs by nearly 50%.
