Along with compelling products, building high value and lasting relationships is a crucial part of my role. I forge deep links between FinTech, established Financial Services firms, industry, academia and the EY ecosystem. Relationships are a core pillar of our values and culture.

Great service and client outcomes is at the heart of HL's strategy, my role is to build and embed an holistic, Group-wide view of service and good conduct at HL.Key responsibilities include:Define the core components of the client experience, covering both our duty of care to clients and what we mean by great outcomes - then creating the framework so those standards of excellence permeate throughout the business.Understand how clients perceive our value proposition, and connect this with wider market context to inform change priorities and meet current and future client needs.First line ownership of the Group conduct risk policy and framework, embedding these throughout the business to ensure we're preventing harm to clients, forming the foundations of service excellence.Complaints - occasionally the service doesn't meet expectations, when that happens the team look after clients to investigate and resolve their concerns fairly, quickly and accurately. It's then crucial we learn what we need to do better by understanding Root Causes and taking that insight through to meaningful action for change Vulnerable Client strategy, ensuring those with additional requirements of our service achieve outcomes at least as good as all other clientsClient service communications - team deliver high quality communications to build confidence, reassure, inform and delight to build deeper relationships with clients. Client reporting - covering client investment reports and other forms of client documentationChair of the Client Experience and Outcomes Forum - providing dedicated focus and oversight to conduct risk and client experience across the GroupSpecial Projects lead - accountable exec for high profile and high impact projects
