Rob became a fully qualified ACA Chartered Accountant in December 2016 whilst working for PwC Aberdeen, UK. After graduating with a BA Honours Degree in Business Accounting & Finance at the University of Newcastle (June 2015), Rob was offered a full time role at PwC as an external auditor in the assurance line of service. During his time at University, Rob worked as a Flying Start placement student at PwC, which involved working for the firm during its busiest period. The three separate placements, all three months apiece, allowed Rob to establish a client portfolio; most of which included service clients in the oil and gas industry.As of November 2017, Rob transferred roles within PwC to the Melbourne, Australia office to join their expanding Consumer, Industrial Products & Services (CIPS) department. This exciting new opportunity has allowed Rob to expand his client portfolio to include large ASX listed clients, alongside smaller private companies in a variety of industries.In July 2019, Rob made his first big move into industry as a Commercial Business Partner at EFM Logistics Services Group.Outside of PwC, Rob has used his breadth of knowledge and experience to assist with external recruitment events for the ICAEW. In November 2016, he helped mentor sixth-form students in the regional ICAEW Base competition. Rob's group, which constituted of 7 students from Inverurie Academy, Aberdeen, claimed top spot in the competition, allowing them to advance to the finals in Birmingham.Rob is also a keen sportsman, in particular football, with a recent notable highlight including coaching to children of all ages during a 10 week summer soccer camp in California.
