I was recently promoted to the position of athletic director at KSU Tuscarawas. As athletic director I will be overseeing our campus' transition to membership in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association. Our membership was approved on June 5, 2016, and our campus is excited at the prospects of expanding our athletic programs and competing for USCAA National Championships! I will be hiring coaches for wrestling, baseball, softball, women's volleyball and men's and women's teams in cross country, soccer, track and bowling. We currently field teams in men's and women's basketball and men's golf! If you have sons or daughters graduating from high school who are interested in continuing their athletic and academic careers and not sitting on the bench, please have them contact our campus ASAP! The USCAA has many member schools who are dual members in the USCAA and/or the NCAA or NAIA. The USCAA also gives out national All-American Awards along with POY, POTW, and Academic All-American Awards. They currently field championships in seven sports! The KSU Tuscarawas Golden Eagle golf team will be playing in the USCAA National Championship at Penn State's Blue Course in October 2016!

I have enjoyed success in helping golfers take their game to the next level by tweaking their swings and learning how to manage the golf course. We have been very successful in our golfing endeavors and you can find us in the top third of the leaderboard each weekend during the season. I organize a spring break golf trip to South Carolina each season to prepare for the upcoming season and look for sponsors to help defray the cost of the trip by finding a corporate sponsor to work with. I also manage an invitational tournament for 16 teams each season.

I currently serve as the coordinator of Academic Services for Kent State University at Tuscarawas. In that position I am charged with finding resources to help students achieve their academic goals, whether through tutoring, academic advising, career counseling, test proctoring, or assisting students with gaining equal access to the classroom. I have also served as Coordinator of Career Resources and helped students who were undecided on a career field, to find a major that was suited to their personality type. Part of my duties also include teaching two freshman level classes, both classes are cohorts and there is overlapping content. My favorite class to teach is Career Construction, because students learn to do self-inspection and look inside themselves to see how and why they react the way they do. It's more of a self-discovery course that looks at past experiences that have produced a common theme/metaphor in our lives and project our preferred social and work environments. The second class is First Year Experience and shows students how to navigate the university system.This academic year I serve as the Chair for the Way Finding and Student Success Committees on campus. The Student Success Committee has developed a three-pronged approach to positively impact students by looking at campus life, academic resources and student success. After one semester, we have already implemented several of our ideas with the help of campus and community members to equip students with success tools.Some of my past duties have included organizing and managing a scholarship golf outing for our campus that raised more than $25k for our students. I also served as adjunct business faculty and taught Intro to Business, Fundamentals of Marketing and Advertising in Business.

I am fulfilling a life-long dream to be a sports broadcaster and have filled many roles while a part-time employee of WJER. I started as a color commentator keeping stats and providing insight during broadcasts and have graduated to play-by-play of high school basketball games and still enjoy doing color as well. I also run the @footballfridaynight twitter account and host the Dominos Pizza Football Friday Night pre and post game shows during high school football season. We preview the featured games of the weekend and host coaches during post game interviews while updating the listeners with game results.

In this position, I coordinated the marketing efforts for company representation at inter-modal trade shows to create business opportunities for EDI software applications. I handled not only the logistics of getting a booth set up and materials shipped and returned, but I also created marketing pieces such as a jeopardy-like trivia game to test customer knowledge about our company's products and EDI resources.

At NMSA, I planned, coordinated, designed and improved the delivery of NMSA communications for its annual conference, regional meetings, and publications. I handled everything from conception to printing and delivery of materials and also created a monthly magazine that I photographed the cover art and supporting photographs for feature stories. I was also responsible for the development of membership materials and marketing campaigns to attract new membership.
