The plant consists of sewage treatment plant, sludge dewatering plant & sludge incineration plant, an intermediate pumping station & 16km of network sewers connected to 15m deep gravity sewer.Job Description:• Delivery of the Lifecycle Maintenance plan (LMP) & in particular asset refurbishment & replacement 10 Million GBP budget over 5- year period• Management of mixed discipline multicultural maintenance team & associated budgets to deliver the LMP• Assisting with the outline design of asset replacements • Maintaining Civil, Mechanical & Electrical equipment• Managing & carrying out various maintenance techniques including front line, planned preventative and conditional based maintenance• Assisting with the management & operation of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Setting up asset maintenance plans/programs & prioritized scheduling of job plans• Providing detailed scopes of work to send to contractors local & overseas for tender returns. Project management of all contractors under the LMP projects.

Management of the new Sullage Processing Plant. Processing 4.5 million litres of waste Sullage from PSD. Plus Sullage from all the ships that come into Mare Harbour & Site Sullage. Process includes heat separation, DAF plant, Centrifuge Plant, Evaporator Plant, RO plant & Incinerator. It's a great new challenge combining two things that I am passionate about Water & the Environment.

A very interesting & challenging roll, working with contractors & the military in the Falkland Islands delivering projects & new infrastructure to this remote part of the world.

Started at 29 as clean & waste water Service Engineer servicing everything from Reverse Osmosis & Demineralisation plants to large scale sewage treatment plants. At 35 promoted to Service Supervisor pricing projects arranging site labour for a team of 12 engineers whilst carring on as a working site supervisor. At 40 again promoted to Service Facilities Manager building up the PPM side of the business also becoming Workshop Manager overseeing the fabrication of equipment, running a team of 25 personnel including office staff through to the service engineers.Managing and overseeing large overseas projects in Bermuda, Ascension Islands, Libya, Seychelles, Falklands, Nigeria, Gibraltar & Denmark plus nationwide UK projects.

In1988 I started 4 year fabrication & welding apprentiship fabricating steelwork and waste water treatment equipment with Broplant Fabrications (part of Bromley Construction) gained a fabrication and technical drawing Btec and became a coded welder in MIG & MMA. In 1992 started to install waste water equipment and onsite fabrication work working along side my father who already had 28 years experience in the industry. We carried out installation projects in Egypt, Turkey, Nigeria, Belgium, Denmark, UAE and all over the UK & Ireland. Confined space trained, MEWP's, telehandler, slinger signaller, lift supervisor & crane AP. At 24 years of age started to visit sites measure up, produce drawings (old type) provide quotations, fabricate and install. I did this for 5 years then joined Satec at 29 as a Service Engineer.
