In January 2009 I formed Greenplan Construction Limited, initially set up to tender for and secure the build completion of the former Milestone Homes homes developments.After successfully completing these develpments, the company rebranded to become Greenplan Designer Homes and now specialise in small scale, high quality developments principally based in Sussex. The company has a strict acquisition criteria for new sites and is taking small but thoughtful steps in it's efforts to become one of Sussex's most reputable developers.

Horsham

Along with two other former Directors of David Wilson Homes I founded Milestone Homes and after acquiring two solid development sites started to lay plans for a small, progressive development company. Painfully, timing is everything and despite every effort our company was one of the many casualties of the worst recession known for decades. Whilst time has since moved on this experience was one that will never be forgotten. A hard lesson in the real world after leaving the coporate bubble.

Leicester And Horsham

Joining from William Davis I started my enjoyable career with David Wilson Homes as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. Working between sites and office and as part of a very good team I established a good understanding of residential Quantity Surveying. David Wilson Homes actively promoted my college and University education and whilst working for them and I attained a 2.1 Honours degree.After a period as a Quantity Surveyor I moved to a position of a Regional Quantity Surveyor, working centrally, supporting nationwide regional offices in need of surveying assistance. It was in this role that I started to spend time at the Horsham office, resulting in being offered the permanent position of Regional Managing Surveyor. Promoted to Commercial Director, Operations Director and more latterly Managing Director I ended a very enjoyable period of my working life.Following the acquisition of David Wilson Homes by Barratt Developments I declined the opportunity to work for the combined business.

Loughborough

I joined after leaving school and under the tutorage of some very good Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors started to learn my trade. Working on a combination of JCT contracts and residential developments I started to get an understanding of how the industry worked. It was here that I was introduced to the industry wide 'sky hooks' and 'long wait's'....
