About Rob Burns
Over the past 25 years, I have had the unique opportunity to work in the areas of Athletic Therapy, Kinesiology and Physical Education in Canadian University Sport and Education. Over the past few years I have been afforded the chance to coordinate, lecture and lead a number of varied sports injury courses in the Faculty of Health- Kinesiology, at the University of Waterloo. I now teach in the KIN program as a Clinical Instructor on a full time basis. This teaching interaction with students in a higher education setting has allowed me to expand my instructional skills and work in different formats- lecture, lab, seminar and practicum, to engage these bright young students. My teaching philosophy is to learn by doing; what we teach in the classroom must translate to practical situations within realistic scenarios.
