Our revenue comes from donations, major gifts, sponsorships and grants. We have granted more than $150 million dollars into early-stage cancer research, clinical trials, detection, and patient programs. In 2016, the FDA approved Keytruda for metastatic microsatellite instability–high (MSI-H). We granted more than $5 million dollars that supported the research and clinical trials for this program.The New England Journal of Medicine (2022) published the findings of a rectal cancer clinical trial that had a 100% response rate. We identified the research team and granted more than $3M when this was a whiteboard idea.The NEJM (2024) published the early findings of a CAR-T immunotherapy clinical trial for glioblastoma. We've funded more than $750K towards this research project.Innovative ideas funded by our grants receive follow on funding from the NCI, industry, PE, and biotech bringing new treatments that reduce toxicity and improve quality of life.We have agreements to provide grants to Memorial Sloan-Kettering, Johns Hopkins, Chicago Rush, Children's Hospital of Atlanta, Fred Hutch, Mass General Hospital for Children, Massey Cancer Center, Dana Farber, Levine Cancer Institute, MD Anderson, Siteman Cancer Center, St. Jude's, Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy, UC San Francisco Children's Hospital, Hollings Cancer Center, Levine Cancer Institute, Massey Cancer Center, Miami Cancer Institute, UC Children's Hospital Oakland, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center, UNC Lineberger, UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center, and Vanderbilt Cancer Center.Our charity swims are a community for cancer patients, survivors, loved ones and the doctors/caregivers who treat them. More than 100 Olympians give of their time to support our programs.We are accredited by BBB Giving Alliance, GuideStar Platinum, and Charity Navigator 4-star rating.

U.S. Masters Swimming is an association that encourages adults to swim. The word Masters means adults; 18 years of age and older. I was charged to transition the association from a volunteer operation to a professionally managed organization. Under my leadership, our membership doubled to 65,000. I diversified our membership revenue model by creating an education program, and hosted international competitions. I also led the creation of our outreach program Swimming Saves Lives Foundation that provides grants to teach adults water safety.
