Provide technical support for all drilling equipment and drilling auxiliary equipment. To also provide support for domestic services as and when required.Ensure conformance to Company policies, and local and international laws relating to the operation of the vessel and strict compliance with current pollution regulations.Ensure requirements concerning regulatory bodies are met in all cases of equipment repair and installation.Assume the required regulatory responsibility to exercise effective control and efficient operation of the technicaland Mechanical aspects of the vessel. Making sure the Chief Engineer and/or OIM are fully aware regarding the safety of the crew, the vessel and its contents and the protection of the environment.Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment, pipework, services and drilling machinery.Ensure daily inspections and maintenance on mechanical equipment is carried out.Ensure planned maintenance is carried out on all mechanical equipment.Report any deficiencies or malfunctions of equipment to the Chief Engineer in a timely manner and ensure corrective measures are carried out & accurately documented in the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).Adhere to all company safety policies & demonstrate a commitment the correct practices etc.Assist in the training of all mechanical / Hyd employees. Maintain files, logs and records as required by the Company. Ensure that all Company Statutory and controlled documents and publications are fully updated and available to appropriate vessel’s personnel in the most suitable and accessible location for use.Ensure the Ordering of Spares is fiscally responsible, that an accurate log of their status is Maintained and upon delivery to the Rig all Logs are updated with respect to received & location.Provide technical support in pre-planning of 5yrs reclassification work required at ship yard including parts, work scope, manning levels, 3rd party requirement etc

Alignment & set up of Turbine to motorgear also fitting propeller shaft & propeller.Mapping out & fitting onboard pipework ranging from 4mm copper to 6inch steel, also flexi hoses both manufacturing & fitting. All of the above used both high & low pressure for a range of aspects such as fuel/fresh & sea water with all associated pumps etc.Involved in fitting venting systems for onboard air conditioning.All of the above involved extensive work in alignment setting up/bench fitting & measurement.

Manufacture/build/Commission of high speed packaging machines both food & non-food industry. Working in both build/set up + machine tool departments. I also was involved in quality control & progressed to development of future equipment & improvement modifications

Successfully complete my Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship covering all aspects of mechanical work & machine tool operation. I also attended collage throughout my training & gained honors every year.
