I am proud to say that I have spent my career working with the very best people in the business. 11 years at BBDO, 11 at JWT, 2 at Saatchi & Saatchi and a few other stops along the way. I’ve worked with some of the most memorable brands as well: AT&T, the Marines, Dell, and REI. But right now, I am having the time of my life. I am the founder and President of Rocket Camp, and we’re doing meaningful work that genuinely makes me proud. What’s Rocket Camp? We’re part ad agency. Part brand consultancy. We’re smart, strategic, and we’re driven to help organizations get the most out of their marketing and communications. When we work with clients, we promise them one thing: that we will make their brands more valuable. But we are not for everyone. Though our experience is broad, Rocket Camp’s focus is not. We specialize in working with companies and organizations that seek help creating brands that address the most important issues. That means we spend our time working with non-profits and B2B companies who need to help people understand what they offer. Helping them get their stories right is my passion. I have a second passion as well. I have always been drawn to the world of training and education. So when I am not immersed in the Rocket Camp business, I spend my hours helping others learn the ropes. For the past 7 years, I have served as a professional mentor through Pathbuilders and I have taught a class at the Creative Circus. Since 2001 I have been on the advisory council for the ad program at the University of Florida. And last December I was selected to be the southeast director for the 4A’s Institute of Advanced Advertising Studies. At the core is my belief that you can have it both ways; treat people with respect and expect a lot from them. Set high standards and be flexible in how those expectations are met. Take work seriously, but have a good time doing it. Specialties: Brand building, marketing, advertising, team leadership, agency operations.When I'm not leading Rocket Camp, I spend time giving back--I've served on the boards of Junior Achievement of Georgia, the Piedmont Park Conservancy, and the University of Florida Ad Council. As director of the 4A's Institute for Advanced Advertising Studies program, I develop and oversee a 4-month immersion into the ins and outs of an integrated agency pitch. It's a wonderful program open to Agency's best and brightest across the Southeast.
