As Asset Information's business specialist for planning Network Rail’s dedicated fleet of Infrastructure Monitoring (IM) trains it is my responsibility to ensure that the services are planned to correct frequencies to maintain compliance levels, in accordance with appropriate mandatory standards, to allow our stakeholders to deliver a safe efficiecnt railway. To do this I liaise closely with stakeholders and suppliers to negotiate and manage the access strategy for IM trains to the rail network. Where necessary I take the lead role for the planning strategy for the introduction of new services and technolgies into Network Rail’s IM fleet. The most prominent being Plain Line Pattern Recognition and new Ultrasonic trains.

•As a line manager for 12 direct reports I was responsible for the effective delivery of data collection services for a number data streams. This includes Track Geometry, Overhead Line, Conductor Rail and Radio Survey data. •To ensure we had competent staff, I undertook assessments of our On Train Technicians in line with our competence assurance process•I have a strong working relationship with the Planning and Logistics team to utilise our resources to ensure the plan is delivered by the most effective and efficient means possible, in line with current standards•As a business specialist for Track Geometry and Overhead Line recording, I am the main point of contact for our stakeholders and suppliers with regards to queries on data delivery and planning requirements•As the teams co-ordinator for video survey activities and planning, I manage our teams requirements for the supplier support contract•Provide support and feedback on current and development systems on board our trains
