Day to day running of QLine Brisbane branch,- Serving customers both on site and in the workshop, quoting works, invoicing orders and scheduling works according to customer requirement.- Managing a small team of workers, allocating task based on skill level, training staff in rubber lining methods, developing skills and efficiency, interviewing and hiring new staff, scheduling works to minimise overtime.- Managing staffing requirements for interstate remote shut down works, ensuring staff certifications are up to date, ensuring COVID regulations were followed.- Purchasing materials and supplies, vendor dealings, sourcing new vendors and materials, quotation requests, outsourcing works, reducing costs.- Quality Assurance, performing QA checks, collecting QA data, ensuring QA tester calibrations are up to date, generating QA documentation, dealing with customers and third party inspectors during QA inspections.- Remote site work for shut downs or project works, FIFO.- Rubber lining in custom job shop type environment including working from technical drawings, measuring marking and cutting materials, pattern making, sandblasting, bonding rubber and ceramics to steel or rubber, custom part manufacture, material selection. Rubber lining pipes, chutes, tanks and various other items.

I was hired as a Machine Operator, however was quickly promoted to Team Leader. I was a Team Leader for about 4 years, and during that time I went from running one department, to two, then three for a short period and back down to two. I was then offered a role change to become the Production ERP operator/ Manufacturing Co-ordinator, when Trelleborg implemented an new ERP system. This then led to my current role of Production Controller, where I am now in charge of a team comprising of 5 Production Team Leaders, 1 Health & Safety/Lean Manufacturing administration person and a Production Administrator. I am also responsible of the order output of 9 Production Departments - each with their own different product lines, and a production team of 28 personnel.

I worked as a Machine Operator bending Steel Reo bar, predominantly running Off-Coil machines. Also involved crane operation, forklift driving and assisting operators on other steel bending/cutting machines.

I started with Fastway as a Depot Hand. This then produced opportunities to works as a Wage Courier, Relief Driver, Leading Hand, Depot Supervisor and finally Courier Franchisee.
