Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Cinema and Theatre, including cash management, sales, customer interaction, technical aspects and staff management. One of a team who individually hold responsibility for the business as well as the building and it's customers during operating hours. Acted up as Duty Manager for a short period.- Control the entire EPOS and back office system, and act as point of contact for film distribution companies regarding invoicing. Used problem-solving skills to acquire this role.- Implemented a number of new processes on the EPOS system and website to ensure a smoother customer process, and increase sales.- Duty Manager for the opening Broadway Theatre season in Letchworth, as well as the most profitable film in the Cinema's history and first outdoor cinema events.- Regular contact with internal finance department, producing reports monthly to aid with the Foundation's figures and outstanding film payments.

Controlled all projection and social media duties for the Cinema, as well as dealing with front of house box office sales. Daily responsibilities included cleaning, stock control, phone bookings, bar work and event supervision.- Introduced new projection procedures to make delivery of new content and scheduling more manageable. Created new playlists to enhance customer experience.- Controlled various forms of marketing including posters, trailers and hand-outs.- Learnt the satellite process for live broadcasts and streaming services to the Cinema.- Oversaw a change in culture regarding Twitter, Facebook, the company website and new loyalty scheme, to increase customer interaction and bring new data to the business.

In a very short space of time I was required to learn a completely new skill, and put it into practice in high-pressure situations including the end-of-year Summer Ball. My main responsibilities were making and serving drinks, keeping stock replenished, handling money and cleaning following my shift. This role provided valuable experience of working in a team and staying composed, as well as gaining confidence in handling a large number of customers at any one time.
