Chris Valente, Vice President and Head of Boston Sales for Fenway Sports Management, and I created Front Office Features to help up and coming sports executives start and grow their career. Over the course of the podcast, we interviewed dozens of top-level sports executives, provided advice, and hopefully entertainment to our global fan base. We were signed by BlueWire as part of their growing sports portfolio and created more than 180 shows over the pod’s life. A most memorable experience and endeavor that I enjoyed a great deal.
  • Topgolf
    Regional Director, Global Partnerships
    Topgolf Sep 2021 - Apr 2022
    Dallas, Texas, Us
  • Worcester Red Sox
Senior Vice President, Chief Revenue Officer
Worcester Red Sox Jan 2021 - Aug 2021
    Worcester, Massachusetts, Us
Under my leadership, the Worcester Red Sox have generated the most corporate partnership revenue in Minor League Baseball history. I have negotiated more than 30, six-figure annual partnerships for our ball club. The typical Triple-A team has less than ten partners of this size. During a pandemic, I hired, trained, and implemented the sales strategy that resulted in the team selling out of allotted season ticket inventory and the second most season tickets in Minor League Baseball. Along with Corporate Partnership sales / service and ticket sales / service, my role oversees merchandise sales, the food and beverage business, and Polar Park Events, our non-baseball events business. Overall, even in a pandemic, with reduced capacity, the Worcester Red Sox are budgeted to generate more than double the revenue from Pawtucket. During the design phase of Polar Park, I played an instrumental role in the design of ballpark, specifically revenue generating spaces.
  • Pawtucket Red Sox
Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Pawtucket Red Sox Aug 2015 - Dec 2020
    Pawtucket, Us
My role focused on revenue generation and the external marketing and branding of the Pawtucket Red Sox. Upon my arrival, we implemented a ticket focused sales team for the first time in the franchises’ history. That move generated the highest mini-plan, group and hospitality revenue in team history. During the same time period, in the sponsorship sales department, I implemented new sales inventory, field signage, between inning promotions resulting in the largest sponsorship sales in the team's history. I negotiated a new television media rights agreement, securing regularly broadcasted games twice per week. From an external marketing and branding standpoint, I implemented new and innovative marketing ideas. These efforts included SEO campaigns, social media activations and a new strategy of focusing on sell out nights. Leveraging my previous new ballpark experience I aided, in a leadership role, the effort to bring a new ballpark to Pawtucket. Though the efforts ended unsuccessfully, I used my relationships to help provide allies to speak at public hearings in favor of the new ballpark.
