I have worked in the UK storage systems industry for 40 years - for the last 20 have been involved primarily with the design and implementation of larger storage systems for archives & museums, including completing high profile installations for clients such as The Office for National Statistics, London Metropolitan Archive, Bristol Aero Collection (Concorde Museum), National Museum of the Royal Navy, Gloucestershire Archives, Powys Archives, Kresen Kernow, The British Postal Museum & Archive, The British Film Institute, Highland Archive, Devon Records Office, Glamorgan Records Office, Pembrokeshire Records, The Science Museum and also for private sector clients such as RNIB and Hill Dickinson LLP. I major in this type of work and the demanding specialised nature of this sector.I also have also worked extensively in the public sector with creation of high density storage systems for HMRC, Police Forces including the electronic system uniquely designed for West Midlands Police, and many NHS trusts across the UK to ensure cost effective storage solutions provision for all types of storage media.I am cad literate and produce bespoke designs following site consultation and I often also carry out audits for clients in order to prove how a design actually stores everything it is intended to.Designs are then presented for approval often before costing because the client then knows whatever the cost, her/his design is what is required and this design work becomes a partnership between client and me.
