A seasoned IT-A/V professional with a wide variety of experience. I have an IT and A/V background in Higher Ed, K12, Alternative Ed, corporate and Sports/Entertainment. My IT career began at Stetson University where I helped create their first IT helpdesk in 1995 and became a computer hardware specialist. I worked my way up to campus computing coordinator, overseeing all dorm network users and managing the annual deployment of technology. I left Stetson to pursue a passion of working with the underserved youth of our community. I managed alternative education sites under the Workforce Development Board of Volusia/Flagler contracts. After a 5 year stint in alternative Ed I was recruited to work for Panasonic, helping to grow their new education division. I then transferred to Panasonics Sports and Entertainment group where I managed large scale LED, digital signage, scoring, and audio installs. Some of the notable clients I've worked with include Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks, Philadelphia Eagles, Florida Panthers, Allstate Arena - One of the top 5 sports and entertainment venues in U.S., Ohio State University, IMG Academy and The Canadian Football League. After amlost 8 years on the road for Panasonic I was ready to come home. I accepted a position at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University as the AV project coordinator at the main campus in Daytona Beach. The position also involved product selection and AV/Classroom design for other world wide campuses. This position fully utilized my unique blend of project management, IT, digital signage, AV and customer service skills. During that time I worked with an AV integrator, called Mediatech, on many projects. They installed most of our AV projects, at Embry Riddle, over the next several years. I eventually accepted a position as Operations Manager with Mediatech. I subsequently purchased the business, along with their top salesman, a seasoned IT/AV salesman, in 2018. The next year Covid hit and we saw a huge demand for our services. Colleges and businesses all over the US were scrambling to install remote videoconference hardware/software. Dell was our largest client for whom we installed AV all over the U.S. We provide services to many colleges, universities, government agencies and business clients large and small. In July of 2022 I partially retired. January 1 of 2024 I fully retired. After almost 2 years of fun and travel I am available for consulting with a focus on AV site surveys and design services. Ready to get my hands dirty once again!
