The bulk of my professional experience is in back-end (Java, C, C++, SQL) software development, IT leadership, network engineering, database administration, construction design/management (especially electrical and low voltage) and business administration. I started programming at a very young age with the Commodore 64 and Apple IIe, then the Macintosh Toolbox (Pascal!), then Linux and C/C++ around the kernel 1.0 era, tilted hard into 3D game engines (fixed pipeline OpenGL, early shaders) and eventually Java around version 1.2 at my first job.I find constant introspection and growth to be both personally and professionally satisfying. I tend to thrive in positions where I have to grok new fields or disciplines and operate in interdisciplinary capacities.I am currently serving as Director of IT at Aetos Holdings Limited, the exclusive franchisee of Wendy's, Popeyes and Marco's Pizza in The Bahamas. In that capacity I lead a highly skilled, local team to build and maintain the various IT infrastructures needed to run 25 stores, two warehouses, an HQ and several commercial real estate developments.In addition, I develop software and administer the multiple systems of Florida School of Insurance, a nation-wide insurance training school. (Java, Servlet, HTML+CSS+JavaScript, Linux, Apache+Tomcat, MySQL, Docker, WordPress)I am proprietor and software/system developer for Physics Systems LLC, which provides customized automation solutions (Java, HTML+CSS+JavaScript, C++) to businesses throughout Florida, South Carolina and the Bahamas. Academically, I am (slowly) pursuing a degree in astrophysics. I was formerly a researcher for The AGN Radio Data & Images Survey (TARDIS) radio astronomy and astrophysics research group at USF under Dr. Gobeille.
