About Rob Devlin

Director of Construction Opportunities Considered, Multi-Family Residential Industry, Remote or HybridIn my 30 years of experience within the construction and development industries, on the East, West and Gulf Coasts, I have had a key role in a myriad of projects: From the ultra-luxury residential on both Cape Cod and Holmby Hills, historic renovations in downtown Boston, production single-family throughout Southern California, faculty and staff housing for 2 of California’s distinguished institutions of higher learning (UCI and CSU Channel Islands), Spent 13+ years overseeing the construction of 3,000 and reconstruction of 9,200 multi-family housing units, representing a combined overall budget of over $931M; encompassing 7 new-construction, 5 renovation and 15 fully-occupied reconstruction communities, located in Orange County, San Jose and San Diego for Irvine Company as well as 2 fully occupied reconstruction communities located in Houston, Texas for AvalonBay Communities, and since 2021 have served as project lead on the property search, product development, project design, construction document preparation, civil engineering coordination, building, site and offsite improvements permitting, contractor selection, and owner’s construction representative, for NorthPointe, a 24-acre, mixed-use master plan, anchored by a 108-key, 4-story full service CAMBRiA hotel, in Imperial, CA.I have managed field operations teams of up to 21 direct reports, and over 200 indirectly at one time, throughout the states of California and Texas. I have been instrumental in creating employee policies and protocol, the most significant of which is OCRP (Occupied Construction Repairs Protocol); a legally vetted project management format which focuses on occupied community construction work - minimizing exposure to liability and maximizing protection of the Owner's assets. What I bring to the table for my employer, the teams I cultivate, and the clients we serve, is a unique range of expertise spanning multiple segments of the residential and multifamily industries, unlike any other. I am fueled by an innate passion to create and build, thrive on new “out of the box” challenges, consistently exhibit the proven abilities to lead and deliver, and embody it all with an enthusiasm for my work which can only be found in someone who knows that building communities is his “home”.
