Fort Riley, Kansas

• Responsible for all Civ-Mil planning for two Iraq deployments and in charge of Fort Riley and 1st Infantry Division’s Community Engagement Program.
• Collaborated with other US agencies and international governmental organizations, to mitigate the human impact of ISIS’s rise in Iraq as the ground forces command prior to deployment.
• Developed, advertised, and organized a welcome home ceremony for more than 300 Vietnam veterans in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War. Hosted at an active aviation hanger and included more than 2,000.
• Led Fort Riley’s community engagement with the Department of Defense to successfully retain Fort Riley as a strategic platform during a round of Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC).

• Built and trained new unit to provide Civ-Mil Expertise and Planning to US Operations in Afghanistan
• Created new unit to include hiring personnel, purchasing equipment, and conducting training necessary for a deployment to Afghanistan within nine months of creation.
• Completed accountability of more than $1 Billion of infrastructure projects conducted in Regional Command-East and provided accountability findings to US Central Command.
• Led military planning for Regional Command East efforts to observe and assist Afghan election officials in Afghanistan’s first peaceful transfer of power; Recognized by Ambassador with US State Department’s Meritorious.

• Provided Civ-Mil Expertise and Planning to Special Operations Command – Pacific
• Created new survey system to map population opinions on host nation and US efforts in and advised local and regional governments in Bangladesh, Cambodia, and Indonesia.
• Negotiated increasing the special operations assistance to three new US Embassies (India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka).
• Designed a program to construct 29 cyclone shelters in Bangladesh that were networked with emergency communications, led special operations response to an earthquake in Padang Indonesia, and represented US special.

Fort Bragg, NC And Camp HM Smith, HI

In charge of advising and assisting the Commander Special Operations Pacific on Civil Military Engagement across the PACOM area of operations.

Provided Civil Affairs support to SOTF 1/1 and SOTF 2/1 and Civil Military Engagement with local government officials, NGOs, and IGOs on Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines.

Responsible for leadership, development, training, and operations of a combat airborne engineer company that built three forward operating bases, more than 100 kilometers of road, and destroying more than 80 improvised explosive devices while conducting route clearance operations across southern and eastern Afghanistan.
