A chartered accountant by profession, Rob is distinguished by his strong entrepreneurial spirit and his wealth of experience in owning and managing private businesses. Rob’s professional career spans more than three decades, with business experience ranging from investment counselling with a major Canadian brokerage to senior financial management with a large, multi-plant manufacturing company. Rob is a co-founder and Past President of Canada’s largest and most successful angel investor network, the Golden Triangle Angel Network (GTAN). He has been instrumental in the funding of many early-stage companies and has world-wide relationships to facilitate expansion for born global companies. Rob is also proud to be one of the founding architects of Equation Angels, a joint venture of GTAN, Angel One Investor Network and Southwestern Ontario Angels. This bold new triumvirate launched in 2019 is building on the significant achievements of its founding member groups and setting a new standard on how angel capital is mobilized for the benefit of start-up ventures in Ontario and beyond. In the summer of 2020, Rob stepped down from his role at GTAN to return to his roots in Roseview Global Incubator. His focus now with the Roseview team is to expand the firm’s activities in coaching and mentoring start-ups. Rob is passionate about building Canada’s economy. Applying the knowledge and experience gained with GTAN as a Start-up Visa designated entity, Rob is committed to working with international entrepreneurs looking to Canada and its Start-up Visa program as a unique opportunity to establish dynamic new businesses, employing people and creating wealth and security for Canadian communities.
