Design Coordinator
CurrentResponsible for obtaining timely construction stage design information in compliance with all statutory standards and control documents Reviewing production of design information for compliance, commenting upon designs and sending such comments and mark-ups back to the consultants for amendment, prior to circulation and distribution to others. Managing status of drawings/documents Reviewing production of sub-contractor designs and technical submittals for compliance, forwarding to design consultants for review and comment. Communicate any changes required back to sub-contract designers. Circulating drawings/documents to all project stake-holders as required.To work in compliance with all BMS requirements, in particular the Design Management Workbook. To maintain an up to date set of drawing registers both electronically and hard copy on site.Organise and attend Design Team Meetings and Design Workshops as necessary. To keep accurate meeting minutes as required.To manage and archive superseded drawings both electronically and hard copy.To ensure the site team are working to a current set of design documents at all times.To ensure sub-contractors are issued all drawing revisions as required. To ensure this process is managed via register and/or Document Transmittal and obtain confirmation of receipt.To assist QS team in scoping sub-contract enquiries and orders.In collaboration with the site team to raise RFI’s and TQ’s as necessary, to chase responses and keep a register of all TQ’s BREEAM - Ensure timely input of contractors information for BREEAM tracker. Along with QS ensure that supply chain/sub-contractors are aware of BREEAM obligations. Work with site team in ensuring ‘Site Impacts’ credits are secured. Attend BREEAM review meetings and capture any actions and follow up. Discharge of Planning conditions; provide information for discharge of planning conditions. Building Regulations to satisfy building control and achieving compliance.
