About Rob Dreger

A senior management professional with over 30 years of experience in finance, sales and operations within International business environments. His strategies have helped foster the launch of several new products and companies across the USA and Canada. While helping other companies expand their business growth, he also helped create and launch a series of his own businesses within Canada and the USA. Rob has his B Comm (Hons) degree from the University of Manitoba, and is a Chartered Accountant (CPA), obtained while articling with KPMG. Over the course of the last thirty years, Rob has excelled in several entrepreneurial companies always mindful that sales growth follows technical and operational excellence. In the early 2000's he successfully launched a greenfield manufacturing company, growing the enterprise to over 500+ employees and $75MM US$ in gross sales. This experience has helped to propel him over the next 10 years. Over the course of the past 10 years, he has help lead the technical and sales strategies in a specialty agriculture company. His comprehensive business experience, has helped in the development and launching of several new products with a global reach. The emerging nutritionally-better feed ingredient markets have required a fundamental sales and marketing approach to explaining their technical and operational benefits. His ability to understand livestock parametric (costing) models coupled with research and development from leading third party institutions (Penn State, University of Guelph) have helped propelled sales. The benefits of specialty Omega-3 feed ingredients support both livestock as well as the enrichment of functional foods (ie. eggs, meats and dairy). Using the technical advantages of Omega-3s coupled with the operationally better product offering has helped in facilitating what was an already great company and making it even better.

Years of research and agriculture expertise led to the development and subsequent patent of a dry-extruded Omega-3 specialty feed ingredient called LinPRO. Dry extrusion uses pressure and friction that propel an increased temperature, erupting oilseeds and then gelatinizing starches around fat cells. During the process, protein-fat and protein-starch matrices are formed and anti-nutritional factors are dissipated, creatinga Nutritionally Better specialty feed ingredient.
