This CEO role places me at the iconic and culturally significant Uluru community of Mutitjulu. Mutitjulu is quite unique in Australia being located in the world heritage Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. With a population of approximately 400 and having suffered a significant impact as a result of COVID the community is well prepared to move forward and is now placed in a strong position to once again achieve meaningful outcomes for all who call Mutitjulu home.

Put simply, I am responsible for the service delivery of all Victoria Daly Regional Council services in the Communities of Kalkarindji and Daguragu here in the Northern Territory Australia with a population of around 800 and... I love it.Situated 470 kilometres south west of Katherine and 450 kilometres east of Halls Creek WA on the Buntine Highway.My areas of responsibilities cover the Administration Office, Aged Care, Centre Link Agency, Child Care, Civil Works, Community Development Program, Mechanical Workshop, Post Office, Remote Indigenous Broadcasting, Reporting Officer at the Aerodrome and Sport and Rec. I am also responsible for inputting and maintaining budgets, Local Authority meetings are scheduled, agendas compiled and run according to the legislative requirements of the Northern Territory.When all employment positions are filled, there are in excess of 60 community members gainfully employed which is made up of approximately 95% indigenous men and woman.The position is certainly challenging but extremely rewarding.Previously employed as the Area Manager in Wyndham Western Australia with The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley was an amazing experience and opportunity to enhance my management, networking, capacity building skills in what is seen to be a challenging and remote environment.These opportunities come on the back of having run my own businesses for almost 30 years and having had the privilege of being the first publically elected Mayor of one of NSW's fastest growing regions. Playing a strategic role in delivering some of the regions most significant infrastructure projects of recent times in what was a very politically charged period.
